Mineral Check

How do Minerals and Toxins Affect me?

Minerals and toxins play a major role in many aspects of life. Having proper levels of these minerals and toxins is vital for the healthy functioning of many glands and organs and overall well-being.

MineralCheck assesses your body's levels of the following

11 MINERALS: Calcium, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Iodine, Magnesium, Manganese, Selenium, Strontium, Sulfur, Zinc.

10 TOXINS: Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Silver, Tin, Bismuth

Some Mineral Benefits:

  • Calcium: Necessary for strong bones and muscle & nerve function

  • Zinc: Influential in sexual function, immune system, hair loss, tissue aging and our digestive function.

  • Magnesium: Affects our cardiovascular function, blood pressure, and mental health.Chronic low back pain

Some Toxic Element Properties

  • Lead: Attaches to blood and is often deposted in bones, the brain, adrenal and thyroid glands and liver.

  • Nickel: Can cause nausea, headaches and increases risk of lung, laryngeal, and nasal cancers.

  • Mercury: Can cause headaches, excitabilty, poor mental concentration, fatigue and insomnia.

This is just a sample of how minerals and toxins can affect your health. Make sure your body has the proper levels of minerals and low, harmless levels of toxins.

How does the test work?

MineralCheck uses a small hair sample to measure your mineral and toxin levels. Hair samples show the long-term accumulation of minerals and toxins in your system. Hair develops out of your bloodstream where the minerals and toxins are found. This non-invasive and inexpensive health screen provides you with the accuracy of a laboratory analysis without leaving the comfort of your own home.

Simply follow the enclosed instructions and mail your sample to Great Smokies Diagnostic Laboratories. Your results will be mailed directly to your home within seven business days.

Are there any restrictions I should know about?

There are no special dietary restrictions for the MineralCheck health screen. However, MineralCheck cannot be performed on hair that has been chemically treated, dyed or bleached in the past two months. Also, shampoos with dyes, colorings or special chemicals must be discontinued for three days prior to cutting hair sample. We recommend using Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo three days before collecting sample. Your hair must be dry when collecting the sample.

If the hair is short, stainless steel thinning shears may be used. You may find the sample collection process easier to complete with the help of a family member or friend.
