What Supplements Does A Nutritionist
Take Each Day?

Nutrient

When

Acetyl-L-Carnitine (60 caps, 500 mg.) - This nutrient has improved my ability to formulate abstract thought, speech synthesis and has cleared up frequent low-grade headaches and a feeling of mental edginess.

2 capsules, 3 times per day.

PS-100 - 100 mg. of Pure Phosphatidylserine. 2/3 of brain cell membranes consist of Phosphatidylserine which diminishes with age and causes cell membranes to become brittle. This supplement has restored youthful brain function at age 50. Two weeks after first using this nutrient I doubled my typing speed. (25-50 wpm).

For the first week I took two per day and then one per day thereafter.

CDP Choline - This formula promotes Brain Metabolism by enhancing the production of Acetylcholine, a primary Brain Neurotransmitter. I find that this adds mental fuel and helps me with 12-14 hour days, a significant portion of the time spent in telephone consultation.

1 capsule in the morning

Ginkgo Phytosome - This important herb has been shown to strengthen capillary walls, chelate capillaries (improved capillary circulation) and transport oxygen to capillary sites. This offers critical protection against Stroke.

1 capsule three times per day with meals.

Oxy-Oxc - After doing a thorough intestinal cleanse I will take 10 at bedtime (with three tablespoons of whole psyllium seed husks) on the days that I have eaten too much dietary fat.

24 in the morning on an empty stomach (8+8+8 in 30 minute intervals) for a major cleanse or 10 at bedtime...

Solaray Super Bio-C (Sustained Release) - 500 mg. of 12 hour sustained release. 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening provide optimal levels of this important antioxidant 24 hours per day.

4-6 per day

CoQ-10 - This nutrient normalizes heart rhythms, strengthens gum tissue and is a powerful antioxidant with specific protective influence in the brain, eyes, arteries and nervous system

1 30 mg. capsule 3 times per day

Grape Seed Extract - Offers specific protection for the heart and the eyes

2 in the morning and 2 at bedtime

Silk Soy Milk (Green Label) - Tasty replacement for chemical-laden cow's milk which often contains lead, formaldehyde, pus, estrogens, anti-biotics, pesticide residues, etc.

Breakfast cereal or a late night snack that will not interfere with delta rhythm sleep

Natural Vitamin E (400 i.u.) - Antioxidant that prevents oxidation in the blood, platelet aggregation, and protects the heart. Helpful for quality sleep.

1 capsule 3 times per day

Whole Psyllium Seed Husks - Taken at bedtime this inert fiber keeps the intestinal tract cleansed and promotes a healthy immune system, easy weight control, better quality sleep and good brain function.

2 Tablespoons 2 or 3 times daily.

Carlson's Super Omega III Fish Oils - this helps keep blood thin and promotes a betters night's sleep

2 capsules at bedtime

Serenity for Women - Yes, I use progesterone cream. It helps promote quality sleep and it blocks an enzyme (5-alpha reductase) that converts testosterone to di-hydro-testosterone (DHT). I had prostate pain and discomfort for several months and found complete relief after about 7 days use.

A small dab on the back of my neck at bedtime

5-HTP - 5-HydroxyTryptophan, 100 mg, 60 capsules. Promotes phase III, Delta Rhythm Sleep, appetite control and Intestinal Health. These last five supplements help me achieve quality, restful sleep each evening.

1 capsule at bedtime

There are a few other supplements I take each day... will post them soon...
